Good Morning Everyone! February has been such a crazy busy month for me! We’ve been non stop and I’ve barely had anytime to get on here and post! I did want to quickly share my new Kitchen project that started today. For as long as I can remember I’ve always wanted a white kitchen. I finally won the battle and my husband gave into letting me get white cabinets. (Baby steps here..) I’ve read lots on painting cabinets vs. getting new ones and the cost between the two is crazy! I’m going to go with the much, much less expensive way and have my cabinets painted. They are only a few years old and in great shape! I am nervous about them coming out well but I’ve heard and read that with lots of prep and care, they can turn out great. Below you will see my kitchen to do list that will take quite some time to achieve as we aren’t doing all at once, but slowly over time my vision will come to life. I thought it would be a fun to document the process with you and share all I’ve learned through it.
Kitchen To DO List:
Paint White Cabinets (Paint: White Dove by Benjamin Moore)
Paint Walls: (Ashwood by Benjamin Moore)
Kitchen Dream Wish List:
Update Backspalsh (Wanting a subway tile)
Counter tops. I will see how everything looks with the counter tops I have currently before I go down this path.
Updated Sink Window
Updated Sink (if new counters need to happen)
Here are the before pictures I took this morning. Sorry for the iphone and messy photos:
This is an old picture above, but this was a mud room when we first moved into the house. However it’s off the kitchen and at our back door so the function of it was never right for us. Because I have a small kitchen, I decided to make this back mudroom into a butlers pantry. We have already done the same hardwood floors as the kitchen in there and it’s painted a fun blue color to give the room some character. I’ll be sharing more on this room as well soon.
I thought I’d share some inspiration that I love and want to pull from for our kitchen. While my kitchen might never be this white, I love the inspiration I pull from these.
Butler Pantry Inspiration:
Looking Forward to sharing the progress with you all over time…be patient.. it may take a while! 🙂
