Well hello August… your friends June and July lasted all of 4 SECONDS, that was nice. And now I’m mad at them. I can’t even believe we are in August, how did this happen? August means school is close and that means back to school shopping and the start of seeing all the fall decor hitting all the stores. It’s basically the end, and my tantrum isn’t going away anytime soon. My only saving grace is that I have vacation this month. I’ve actually never taken a week off in August, it’s always been July. So maybe my crabbiness is coming from not having any real time off yet this summer. Well enough with my sob story, today I thought I’d share my master bedroom with you all. And guess what it has in it… COLOR. Not a stitch of gray you will see in here. (Actually, I take that back. My vanity chair is gray) But, my point is that you all know my love for gray, white, basically anything neutral so I went for a little color in my bedroom and I love it. I went back and forth on whether or not I should share my bedroom with you guys because it’s probably the last on the list in regards to priorities for decorating of my home. It’s just a room no one really sees, so I’ve never put too much effort into it. Just a couple basics and paint has done the trick! My inspiration for this room was to create something very soft and tranquil like.

Unfortunately, I don’t have many before pictures of my bedroom. This is the stock photo from when we moved in. My vanity is in the corner now to give you a sense of the layout.

As you can see my bed is all white. There is something so clean and crisp when it comes to all white bedding for me. I love the classic look and it doesn’t get as dirty as everyone thinks it would. I bleach my duvet cover every couple of weeks and its held up very well. I’ve had this cover for a few years now.
My headboard is probably my favorite part of my bed. First of all the price is so amazing and the quality is just as good. I’m so happy with this purchase!
A helpful tip for any of you that have leftover wallpaper. I carried the wallpaper I used on the accent wall on my vanity to behind my lamps for some art decor. Super inexpensive and a way to carry the wallpaper throughout the room to balance it out.
You see my nightstands? Those used to be a dark chestnut brown. I painted them with chalk paint which I heard is super popular and easy. I don’t love how they turned out, but if you’d like a blog post on the before and after and my full review just let me know!
No, I don’t always have a cute little tray filled with flowers and candles on my bed, I just thought I’d make it look nice for you. 🙂
Mirrors are one of my favorite items to bring into a room to make the room appear larger. I have the best luck at homegoods for my mirrors.
On my dresser I have just a bunch of pictures displayed and a few decor items. Put a few items in a little tray to break up the large dresser instead of having just a line of frames.
A few months back I shared a full tour of just my vanity.. if you want to see more of it click here.
My vanity is one of my favorite spots. For a long time I really wanted all of my items to be in one place and this does just that for me. I highly recommend finding a spot in your home to create the same.
I hope you guys enjoyed and found some inspiration!
