Happy St. Patrick’s day! If you missed my yummy festive cocktail the other day, make sure you check it out! Today I thought I’d give you a little look into one of my favorite spaces, my vanity area. It’s like my own version of a man cave, you know? This is my little sanctuary that I created and love. As you may have heard me say before my house isn’t very large, and when my very old house was built, I think they forgot about the bathrooms and just tucked two of the world’s smallest ones possible somewhere in at the end. Needless to say, getting ready in the bathroom isn’t enjoyable so I really wanted to create a space to relax and actually enjoy getting ready. I love nothing more than drinking my coffee here in the morning or a glass of wine on a weekend night getting ready for a date night. It also serves a great purpose because I get a lot of my blog work done right here. I’ll use my laptop here and it serves a dual purpose of a desk too! So come take a look..
Being in my master bedroom, I really wanted to create an actual space for this area. I knew wallpaper would be perfect to help define the space. Also, I knew I wanted a funky wallpaper to add some fun to it as well. Anthropologie has great quality wallpapers and I highly recommend them.
The Ikea Alex Drawers are so great for tons of storage. I keep so many items in each of these drawers and it’s so easy to keep track of everything. I lined them with contact paper to protect them from any spills from any products. Also, this is the Ikea Malm dressing table which I use as my vanity.
Also, a cute and comfortable chair was a must. I found this one at Homegoods!
My drawers don’t usually look this neat, I cleaned them up for you! 🙂 But as you can see, they are perfect to organize your items by specific makeup products, skin care, lotions, etc.. I have so many products tucked away in here!
I hope you enjoyed this little tour and found some inspiration for your own space! Feel free to comment below if you have any questions!
