Ok, raise your hand if you love a good cocktail (Me: Both hands straight up) I have a delicious Cranberry Champagne Cocktail to share with you today. This cocktail is so yummy and you can tweak it to your own liking. It’s a perfect signature drink for any party you are hosting. Set up a little tray of them so when guests come in, they can grab a cocktail as they enter! Also a fun change to the traditional Christmas morning mimosa, or for any fun celebration you are having! It’s 5 o’clock somewhere so lets get to it!
For this Recipe you will need:
1 Bottle of Champagne
1 Bottle of Cranberry Cocktail Juice
Get all your ingredients out and get ready to prep! I cut up my limes first. If you don’t like limes, you can skip them, but I think the lime makes these drinks. I just cut them up in quarters and rim each glass with the lime juice.
I then dipped the glasses right into sugar. I found this festive red and white sugar at Homegoods but regular sugar would do as well. Does anyone else love homegoods as much as I do? I’m a frequent guest to their store weekly.
Once you have all your glasses coated with sugar, we will get to the good stuff. (It’s also a nice a idea to leave a couple of glasses non dipped for people who don’t want the sugar) I tossed a couple of cranberries into each glass as one of my garnishes.
I squeezed a little lime into each glass. (Again, you can skip the lime if you want, but trust me… so good.)
Ok, time for the good stuff. Grab a bottle of champagne and pop it open! Pour a little into each glasses leaving some room for a splash of cranberry juice. The champagne will rise, so be very careful how much you pour in to start. (I mean you could be like me who clearly go over excited about pouring the champs and overflowed each and every glass I poured. Yes, it happened.)
Ok, now for the cranberry juice garnish. You can use regular cranberry cocktail juice or cranberry lime which is what I used here.
Last but not least, the finishing touch. Grab some fresh rosemary and stick right into the cocktail. (Don’t buy thyme instead of rosemary like I did by accident. Clearly a hot mess I was this day) The rosemary is so festive and the perfect garnish.
Don’t they look so cute?? They tasted just as good as they looked!!
