Good Morning!! I have a fun little before and after to share with you today. I recently had the pleasure of helping the nicest couple bring some light and color into their main living space and I absolutely love how it turned out. Upon meeting with them, they had a few requests:
Majority of the furniture needed to stay including, Couch, Hutch, & Dining Room table
Main Paint Color Must Stay
What I love most about this reveal is it shows you that you can keep some of your main furniture and still transform a space. I made some slight changes with paint in their foyer and an accent wall in the dining room without having to paint the entire main floor. I then brought in some color to the space using the rug and decorative accents.
Here are some pictures of the space before:
And here is the after:
I absolutely LOVE this entry makeover. The change of color brought instant light into the space, making it very welcoming. The finish on the console table is beautiful and I made the space complete with a couple frames and faux flowers.
Can we talk about the coffee table? It’s BEYOND beautiful in person and I keep trying to find a place in my own home to fit it. This rug also makes me swoon. It’s the perfect amount of color without being too light in the space. It’s another beauty in person. I took the blue and yellow accents popping out from the rug and used those colors for the accent area.
I’m in love with this accent chair. The color is perfect and the style is on point for this little corner. Accent stools are probably my favorite decorative accent. I don’t think there’s a room I’ve styled that doesn’t have one. They are the perfect size and come in so many colors and designs.
How much bigger and brighter does the dining room look? The majority of the dining room furniture needed to stay, so I changed the color of their accent wall to make the space feel brighter and make the hutch pop a little. I doubled up curtains on each side of their sliding doors and finished the room with some accents.
Hope you enjoyed this before and after! If you have any questions, comment below and I’ll be sure to get to them. All room details are posted below. Next week I’ll be sharing my Thanksgiving table and giving some free printables away.
